Nerd Hurdles

May 10, 2009

If you haven’t already bowed down at the altar of geekery, you should do so now. More than a podcast, this is an entire parallel universe of odd, and one of my favourite places on the Internet.

Want to hear a weird coincidence? Hosts Jakob and Mandi were nearby and heard the calamity the night my brother was hit by a train. Small world indeed. We discussed it when they visited yesterday. We had an elephant in the room: The Star Trek movie, which they had seen and I had not. Other topics talked about: rock stars, podcasting and the weather. Also, we traded some comics.

nerdhurdles.com. Do it now.

  1. Seemed like a good question for Nerd Hurdles, too, now that I think about it. It isn’t really a hurdle, though. More of oan opportunitiy.

The LibriVox podcast now has numerous audio-pods of H.P. Lovecraft short works online for download. I already have Dunwich Horror, but I’ve got no idea where to go from there.

I’ll bet you’ve got some Lovecraft recommendations, if you’ve got the time.

  2. Some people are just too damn lucky.

There should be a transporter set up between Hong Kong and Toronto.

  3. I’m addicted to that website.

  4. Then you could touch the beard and realize it’s worth the asking price.

  5. Yes, I could do that. Is it really worth it, though? I hope so. It looks like it.

  6. We are but mere beardlings to the BeardMaster.

  7. Jakob’s beard is so big, it has a beard of its own.

[That’s a spin on a Chuck Norris joke. Look it up.]
